Invitation to the General Assembly Meeting Friday 26 May 2017 in Dublin
We are pleased to invite you to a General Assembly meeting on Friday 26 May 2017, in Dublin from 18:00-19:30 GMT. The General Assembly will be held in:
St Patrick's Campus
Dublin City University
Please note, this General Assembly will be held face to face as part of the Dublin congress. We will do our best to offer the possibility of virtual attendance. More information will be provided in the coming weeks.

- Minutes from General Assembly in June 2016
- Treasurer’s Report (2015-6) and Proposed 2017 Budget

According to the Statutes of SIETAR Europa: All members (full and honorary members) shall have one vote in the General Assembly. The quorum for the General Assembly shall be 25% of the total membership unless stated differently in these statutes. If a quorum is not present, then a second meeting may be called in which no quorum is required. Decisions are taken by simple majority of the voting members present or represented by proxy unless stated differently in these statutes. The cast valid votes count. Abstentions are counted as spoiled/invalid.
If you can't attend and vote, you can download the proxy form, fill it in and return it to us to appoint a proxy.

SIETAR Europa Intercultural Cook Book – looking forward to YOUR contribution
Dear SIETARians, dear interculturalists,
As SIETAR we want to encourage the development and application of knowledge, values and skills which enable effective intercultural relations at individual, group, organisation and community levels. Inspired by many discussions in the SIETAR network the idea of publishing a SIETAR Intercultural Cook Book was shaped in the past months. Some of our national organisations already include culinary elements in their events calendar, such as SIETAR Austria with their event called “SIETAR Austria Culture Senses” or the event from SIETAR UK Culinary Indian food experience.
Our cuisine reflects our history! People connect to their cultural or ethnic group through similar food patterns. Food is often used as a means of retaining their cultural identity. The ingredients, methods of preparation, preservation techniques, and types of food eaten at different meals vary among cultures. We want to display this variety by inviting YOU to submit your favourite recipe with pictures to be published in our SIETAR Cook Book!
Deadline for submitting your recipe is 28 February 2017.
Please note that we can only accept recipes that use our SIETAR Europa template to be found here. Please also read carefully all instructions (including indications for max no. of characters etc..) on the first page of the template in order to be able to process your recipe into our cook book!

Congress proposals deadline has passed
The deadline to submit practitioner and academic proposals and pre-congress workshops for our Congress in Dublin has passed. No more submissions will nbe accepted.
The deadline for proposals for the Film and Media Festival is January 9th 2017.
New deadline for congress submissions
Due to the high number of requests, we've decided to extend the deadline to submit congress proposals. The new deadline is November 15th at 23.59.
