Abstract: Since 2013, Brigitte has worked as Global Head of Change Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion in close collaboration with the leadership team by guiding the company culture challenges and actions. Within a large organization such as Solvay, Brigitte presents the challenges of implementing cultural changes at a group level.  Likewise, through a D&I journey, she provides and highlights the key drivers needed to be successful within such implementation.  

She shapes the global approach, initiates actions throughout the group, oversees local programs, guides the Human Resources team and other key stakeholders in various group entities. Brigitte seeks to highlight the role of Solvay as a responsible organization, through practices that reflect inclusion & diversity culture, looking in the same way, the business imperative for having mixed teams.  


Brigitte is Senior Vice president and member of the HR Leadership team of Solvay Group. She has taken in 2013 the role of Global Head of Change Management | Engagement | Diversity & Inclusion, providing leadership guidance on the Company culture challenges and actions.

She works closely with the leadership team to initiate & monitor implementation of cultural change programs and employee engagement surveys. As the global lead for Diversity and Inclusion, she shapes the global strategy, initiates Group-wide initiatives, oversees local programs, provides guidance to HR team and other key stakeholders in various group entities.

Her career began with Philips Consumer Products SA in 1986, working in various marketing and sales functions for appliances & lighting products. In 1990, she headed for the USA. In 1995, after her MBA, she joined General Electric Capital in the USA first and then she was appointed in one of the European business entities where she got successively responsibilities in marketing, strategic planning and change management role.

She joined the Solvay Group in 2003 as the Group Innovation Champion- a newly created position – reporting to a Member of the Executive Committee (Group Innovation Sponsor). Her main responsibilities were to lead various Group initiatives in line with innovation key drivers – strategy, people, resources & systems. She worked with all identified change & innovation agents internally as well with external stakeholders.
